More than 150 talented female visual artists, authors, musicians and film makers will show and sell their works at "From Women's Hands," an all-female exhibition. The first event of its kind in Northern Michigan, "From Women's Hands" connects art, community and service of the arts to an important cause - the Women's Cancer Fund, Munson Healthcare Foundation. The fund will receive 20% of all art sales and 100% of the proceeds from the art raffle, silent auction and Oratorio performances.
- The exhibit will raise awareness of the Women's Cancer Fund, and increase public awareness about the arts and women artists in this region.
- The exhibit offers a rare opportunity for women artists in this area to show and sell their work.
- "From Women's Hands" is a fund-raiser for the Women's Cancer Fund, Munson Regional Foundation.
" 'From Women's Hands' comes out of a deep commitment to art, women artists, women with cancer, and the way art intertwines with, enriches and heals our lives," says Traverse City tile/clay artist and furniture maker Rosalyn Tyge.
