- From Women's Hands™ is a juried exhibit and sale. The exhibit will be set up by our committee in gallery style - there will be no individual spaces. Every piece must be professionally finished and ready for display. All work will be viewed at drop-off for consistency with the integrity of the show. Art must be dropped off on April 28, 2011 between noon and 6:30 p.m. You must pick up your work on May 1, 2011 at 4 p.m. The show will be held at the Streeters Center in Traverse City which is located at 1669 S. Garfield Avenue.
- We are looking for ten to twenty pieces, depending upon size of art, in all price ranges. As work sells we will have stock to replenish. We will provide gallery tags when displayed - but please label each piece with your name and price on an adhesive tag on the back of the item. Each piece must have two tags.
- We are also looking for smaller items to sell. They must be brought in nice quality, natural colored baskets for display. All cards must be packaged in groups of five or more. All small items must be individually tagged with the artist's code and the price. Minimum price is $10.00.
- All jewelry must be brought in merchandise ready, display cases.
- There is a $50.00 entry fee, due after the artist is accepted. There is also a $10.00 jury fee. After the show, a 10% commission fee and a 20% donation to Women's Cancer Funds will be deducted from your total sales. You will receive a tax slip for your donation.
- We appreciate donation of one piece of art for our raffle. 100% of the proceeds go the Women's Cancer Fund and it provides excellent additional visibility. You will receive a tax benefit for your raffle donation. Email Terry Tarnow at tarnow@nmrec.com with the description and value. The work needs to be dropped off by Monday, April 25 at the Dennos Museum gift shop. Please include a business card with your art work.
- There will be an informational meeting held for all exhibiting artists and volunteers prior to the exhibit. Time and location to be determined.
- Please develop and email a list of those you wish to receive a show postcard to jennifer@fromwomenshands.com.
- All artists will be required to donate a minimum of two hours work time for the show. There will be a sign up sheet at the artists meeting.
- From Women's Hands™ will again aggressively promote the Exhibit through public relations, advertising and direct mail. We are committed to making this event the same phenomenal success that it has been in the past.
